PRIVACY POLICY
Your privacy is important to us here at Conscious Web Design, so we've developed a Privacy Policy that covers how we collect, use, disclose, transfer, and store your information. By using our service, you agree to this Privacy Policy in it's entirety.
Information we collect
We collect information to provide better services to all of our users -- from basic stuff like your demographics and social information to more complex things like which content you're listening to and how much time you spend on the platform.
We collect information in two ways:
Information you give us. For example, you're asked to provide personal information like your name, email address, telephone number or credit card, and more.
Information we get from your use of our services. We may collect information about the services that you use and how you use them, like when you listen to an individual track, how long you listen, and what you listen to the most. This includes, but is not limited to, registration data, usage and log data, cookies and similar data, and surveys and feedback.
How we use information we collect
We use the information we collect from our service to provide, maintain, protect and improve your user experience and to develop new features and services that will benefit you. We use this information to offer you tailored content -- like giving you more relevant audio products based on your listening history and habits. We use your personal information to keep you posted on Conscious Web Designs's latest product announcements, software updates, and special features. We may also use personal information for internal purposes such as auditing, data analysis, and research to improve the Conscious Web Design's service, and customer communications. If you enter into a sweepstake, contest, or similar promotion we may use the information you provide to administer those programs. If you don't want to be on our mailing list to receive promotional emails, you can opt out anytime by updating your preferences.
Payment Information
When you sign up for a Paid Subscriptions or purchase any other product or service through Conscious Web Design, your credit card information and other financial data that we need to process your payment are collected and stored by third party payment processors, and we may collect some limited information, such as your postal code and details of your transaction history. These third parties generally provide us with some limited information related to you, such as a unique token that enables you to make additional purchases using the information they've stored, and your card's type, expiration date, and last four digits.
Information security
We are committed to protecting our users' information and take your security very seriously. Your password protects your user account, so make sure it's unique to you, limit access to your computer and browser, and sign off after having used the Conscious Web Design's Service. While we take reasonable data protection precautions, no security measures are completely secure, and we do not guarantee the security of user information at any time.
Social sharing
If you connect to Conscious Web Design using Facebook, the default setting is generally that Conscious Web Design automatically shares your activity and activity-related stories with that service, including the audio you listen to. You understand that such information may be attributed to your account on Facebook and may be published on such service. You can choose to disable such sharing inside your preferences.
We may use your information to notify others, including on the Service, via e-mail, and through Facebook and Other Integrated Services, about news related to your profile and activity, such as that you have joined Conscious Web Design, take actions related to their Conscious Web Design profiles or content which they subscribe to, or other actions which we think may be of interest to them. Likewise, we may notify you about such activity of other users.
Conscious Web Design also enables you to share a particular item of content, on an individual basis, to third party services or other Conscious Web Design users by using the share functionality in the Service. Please note that sharing of such content on a third party service may be posted as activity on the Service, regardless of your account settings. Conscious Web Design may store your username and an access token or similar credentials obtained from the third party service, so that you are able to share particular items of content, on that third party service, on an individual basis, without entering your access credentials again. You understand and agree that Facebook's or other third parties' use of information they collect from you is governed by their privacy policies, and Conscious Web Design's use of such information is governed by this Privacy Policy.
Information we share
At times Conscious Web Design may make certain personal information available to strategic partners that work with Conscious Web Design to provide products and services, or that help Conscious Web Design market to customers. For example, Conscious Web Design might share user data with companies who provide services such as information processing, managing and enhancing customer data, social media services, providing customer service, assessing your interest in our products and services, and conducting customer research or satisfaction surveys. These companies are obligated to protect your information.
We may also disclose information about you if we determine that disclosure is reasonably necessary to enforce our terms and conditions, or protect our operations or users, or as required by law. Additionally, in the event of a reorganization, merger, or sale we may transfer any and all personal information we collect to the relevant third party.
Accessing and updating your personal information.
We aim to provide you with easy access to your personal information. If that information is wrong, we strive to give you ways to update it quickly or to delete it -- unless we have to keep that information for legitimate business or legal purposes. When updating your personal information, we may ask you to verify your identity before we can act on your request. We may reject requests that are unreasonably repetitive, require disproportionate technical effort (for example, developing a new system or fundamentally changing an existing practice), risk the privacy of others, or would be extremely impractical (for instance, requests concerning information residing on backup systems).
Cookies
We use information collected from cookies and other technologies to improve your user experience and the overall quality of our services. For example, by saving your listening history, we'll be able to recommend new titles and authors to you. Conscious Web Design and our partners also use cookies and other technologies to remember personal information when you use our website, mobile services, and applications. We use this information to understand and analyze trends, to administer the service & website, to learn about user behavior on the site, and to gather demographic information about our user base as a whole. Conscious Web Design may use this information in our marketing and advertising services.
As is true of most websites, we gather some information automatically and store it in log files. This information includes Internet Protocol (IP) addresses, browser type and language, Internet service provider (ISP), referring and exit pages, operating system, date/time stamp, and clickstream data.
Compliance
We regularly review our compliance with our Privacy Policy. When we receive formal written complaints, we will contact the person who made the complaint to follow up. We work with the appropriate regulatory authorities, including data protection authorities, to resolve any complaints regarding the transfer of personal data that we cannot resolve with our users directly.
Children
For users in the United States, the Conscious Web Design Service is not directed to children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are under 13 years of age, do not use the Service and do not provide any personal information to us unless we receive explicit written consent from an adult. If we discover that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information without written consent, we will delete it.
When this privacy policy applies
Our Privacy Policy applies to all of the services offered by Conscious Web Design, LLC., but excludes services that have separate privacy policies that do not incorporate this Privacy Policy.
Changes
We may make changes to this Privacy Policy from time to time, so please visit this Privacy Policy regularly. If we make changes which we believe are material, we will inform you through the Service. Your continued use of the Service thereafter constitutes acceptance of the changes.
